A central theme of the Web-intelligence and Brain Informatics and Health Conference this year is focused on connecting network and brain with Big Data. Our workshop is focused on the algorithmic aspects of neuromorphic computing, and particularly with how neuroscience inspired algorithm design can inform neuromorphic architectures. Particular focus areas of the workshop are as follows:
- Distributed information processing approaches including communication protocols/ mechanisms (e.g., message passing, pooling, etc.)
- Energy efficient data structures and algorithms for machine learning
- Randomized approaches/ algorithms
One of the goals of the workshop is to bring together a diverse community of researchers from computer science, neuroscience, machine learning and statistics, sensors/devices and encourage discussions that lead to newer algorithmic approaches for emerging neuromorphic architectures.
The organization of the workshop is centered around Type II abstracts that need to be submitted through the website. Details of the workshop and its location are provided below.
